TGITunes: Final Fantasy's "Lewis Takes Action"
December 3, 2009 at 3:22 PM Owen Pallett, the gay lead singer of Final Fantasy and the one who sings the vocal on one of our favorite Beirut tracks, "Cliquot," is kind of dreamy. He's super talented and he's got great hair, and basically we'd like to put it out there that if he would love us, we would love him back. In any event, while we await his reply, Final Fantasy has a new concept album coming out in January called Heartland, and it features this track, "Lewis Takes Action." It sounds almost holiday-ish to us, with all the orchestration, and we loves it. You can download it here in exchange for an email address. In addition to taking action, the fictional "Lewis" of the album's arc also takes off his shirt -- there's another track called "Lewis Takes Off His Shirt" and apparently there are homoerotic undertones throughout this "song cycle of contemporary fiction." YAY is all we can say.
After the jump, the picture of Owen that we kiss before bed each night, and a video of him doing a Mariah Carey cover using a loop machine, live on stage. Pre-order Heartland here.
