Breathe Easy, Porn Lovers, the Gay Porn Oscars Are Back On

There was a scare amongst the porn community a couple months back as the annual winter celebration known as the GayVN Awards (a.k.a. the Gay Porn Oscars) were indefinitely delayed and possibly canceled for the first time in, like, half a decade. Never an industry known for its stability or adherence to set time schedules, but nevertheless an industry that enjoys celebrating itself, the gay pornographers have apparently insisted that the GayVN shitshow go on, and they'll return the Castro Theatre in San Francisco a half-year late, on September 24th. The Adult Video Network and NakedSword, who co-host the awards, announce this week that the ceremony will be conveniently coinciding with Folsom Street Fair weekend, when half the porn stars are in town anyway signing autographs on people's asses and showing off theirs.
