Finally Rupaul Rewards a Worthy Queen With the Title

Sure, the title of Rupaul's Drag Race winner just gets you $75,000 and some kind of Absolut tour, but it's a lot for a working tranny! And after the atrocity that was season 2, with silly, boring Atlanta queen Tyra Sanchez taking the title, we weren't expecting much. But FINALLY, the only drag queen worth her salt in this whole damn show, Raja, won the shit! Ru seems to categorize her as "genderfuck" and "edgy," but you know what? At least she shows some respect for a new generation of drag queens who aren't trying to be Rupaul part deux and make like it's 1995 over and over again.

We look forward to Raja doing great things, and we hope she's not so stoned the next time she comes to perform in San Francisco.
