The Castro Street Fair Poster You Weren't Allowed to See

Click to enlarge. Our sources at the Castro Street Fair -- the more vanilla version of Folsom which happens up in the Castro, always the following weekend (which is this coming weekend, Sunday, October 2) in S.F., founded by Harvey Milk back in 1974 -- leaked to us this uncensored version of the fair poster. The unicorn has a cock and balls, you see. And this is in honor of Planet Unicorn and the fact that one of the MCs at this year's fest will be the drag queen Chloe Sevigny, who also happened to be the voice of Feathers from Planet Unicorn. Sadly, the version of the poster plastered around town currently was neutered. You know, to protect the children. Or something. [Le Fag]

This poster is another example of why I avoid the Castro Street Fair and go to Folsom's instead. It kind of resembles a Hello Kitty poster with a completely irrelevent cock shot. Most of the booths at the Fair are comparable to any other street fair in the city. Why doesn't Castro heat it up a little one year and actually try a more bolder advertising approach as well as some more original booths?
