RIP Whitney Houston, Dead at 48

This is how she'd rather we remember her.Oh. Gurl. The legendary Whitney Houston, still much loved even though she was a mess lately, has died, as the Associated Press is reporting. The cause and location of her death are still unknown. Her publicist Kristen Foster is said to confirmed the news. We'll let you know if we hear anything further. And just today they were talking about giving her Paula Abdul's job on The X-Factor... [AP]

Oh, GURL... TMZ is saying she might have just passed out from taking Xanax and drowned in the bathtub. All around, a damn shame. Also, the LA Times describes her being loopy and erratic all day Thursday, when she was supposed to be giving vocal tips to Brandy and Monica at the Beverly Hilton, where she died Saturday.
