Ethel Merman Sings 'Tomorrow' on a Sesame Street Xmas Special ca. 1978

YouTube, she keeps on giving. Behold this little gem in which Ethel Merman tries to perk up a depressed Sesame Street crew after Oscar the Grouch has gotten them down, from 1978's "A Special Sesame Street Christmas." Watch how she really perks up and goes crazy-eyed when her music starts. Also, "Imogene [Coca]. What's the matter? You look like an idiot."

Resurrecting Our Gay Childhood: My Little Pony

We don't really get this viral craze with My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic, but we're not one to let a meme pass us by; especially not one that clearly doubles as furry porn.  We know it must be important when Bill Clinton is putting in his two cents.  This magical cartoon stars a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle who is made of gay wishes and butterfly kisses, or something like that.  It began airing last Fall and slowly crept its way online as amusement for the masses.  Its largest demographic is males ages 15-35 and despite how creepy that sounds, it gives us gems like the posted song below -- a version of Reggie Watts’ “F*ck Sh*t Stack.” (NSFW).  Let's all wait patiently for Pat Robertson to draw a link between pretty, pretty ponies and the world's next major natural disaster.

Dance Your Cares Away: Scissor Sisters Compose 'Fraggle Rock' Musical

Le Fag favorite, and all around camp-tastic band, Sister Sisters, is rumored to be a part of the new "Fraggle Rock" film expected to be released in 2012.  MusicWeek states that Jake Shears and Babydaddy will be composing the soundtrack and although the band has made no official statement on the matter, the anticipated mix of childhood nostalgia and fag pop-rock has us thinking this might be something to look forward to.  The High Times cover alone should be worth it and our fingers are crossed for Jennifer Hudson to voice "Margory the Trash Heap."
