Tuesday Tuneage: Glee (and Matt Bomer) Does Gotye

Apologies for the true pop-culture fag-out today, but allow us the exceptional Glee post in the case of this number, airing in next week's episode. It's Darren Criss singing Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," and the song's been recast as a brother duet with Matt Bomer, guest-starring as Criss's estranged older bro. So, it doesn't get much gayer, and we'd still like to pretend they're singing this as a breakup song, to each other.

Dreamy Darren Criss Takes Over for Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway

Tuesday night marked the Broadway debut of Glee hottie Darren Criss, who remains unfortunately heterosexual (allegedly), but who has nonetheless stolen the heart of pretty much every gay man who has watched that show. He's taking over the lead in How to Succeed in Business... from Daniel Radcliffe, and this means Criss will now have the sort of musical-theater cred shared by his TV costar Lea Michelle -- who starred in Spring Awakening before she got her big break. The NYT profiled Criss this week, calling him "a triple threat" -- then explaining, for the sake of the olds, what that means. We'd argue he's a quadruple threat: sings, acts, dances, and looks hot without a shirt. How many of those are there besides Hugh Jackman and Cheyenne Jackson?
