June 24, 2011 at 2:14 PM Sort of. Out magazine has posted a number of covers that they, in hindsight, regret publishing, including the shiteous alien Madonna, forcing Jake Shears to wear sheers, and declaring Paris Hilton a gay icon. See all 12 embarassing regrettables after the jump.

Le Fag favorite, and all around camp-tastic band, Sister Sisters, is rumored to be a part of the new "Fraggle Rock" film expected to be released in 2012. MusicWeek states that Jake Shears and Babydaddy will be composing the soundtrack and although the band has made no official statement on the matter, the anticipated mix of childhood nostalgia and fag pop-rock has us thinking this might be something to look forward to. The High Times cover alone should be worth it and our fingers are crossed for Jennifer Hudson to voice "Margory the Trash Heap."

We have it on good authority that a little-known DJ duo known as Crystal Pepsi, scheduled to be spinning at CockFight tonight at Underground SF, is none other than he Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears and friend Jeremy Lingvall -- best known as the arm candy David Geffen brought along to the state dinner at the White House in November. Jake is in town this month for the premiere performances of the Tales of the City musical at A.C.T., the music for which he co-wrote with John Garden, and will also be popping up as DJ at Booty Call in the Castro on a few Wednesdays.

March 3, 2011 at 1:20 PM Slick It Up latex-and-fetish-wear proprietor David Mason notes that Scissor Sisters singer Jake Shears is a fan of his merchandise. We especially like the horns... nice touch. One more below.

The role of Mrs. Anna Madrigal, made famous in the early '90s PBS miniseries of Tales of the City by Olympia Dukakis, will be played by Betty Buckley in the upcoming musical adaptation being produced by the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Word on the street among theater fags here is that the part of Michael Tolliver hasn't yet been cast, but workshops for the show are ongoing, with a scheduled opening next May.
The Tales of the City musical is a new work being funded by the ACT, with music and lyrics by Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears and collaborator John Garden. Armistead Maupin was said to be collaborating on the show as well, but the libretto is being written by Jeff Whitty. We're guessing this means Buckley will be singing at least one song about pot. Click to EnlargeWe just saw little Jakey Shears in San Francisco last week, performing with the Sisters at the Fox in Oakland and popping in at Juanita MORE!'s afterparty. And here he is flexing one of his famous muscles in a new photo by Mario Testino alongside Debbie Harry in V Mag's New York Issue. The issue has two alternate covers, one of which features Marc Jacobs Lady Gaga-as-the-Statue-of-Liberty, and the other features Marina Abramovic holding Tyson-Ballou-as-Jesus. See the rest of the images below.

August 9, 2010 at 2:04 PM We just spotted this video, from a live show in Paris last month, of Scissor Sisters lead twunk (he must be over 30 by now, but still qualifies as a twink-hunk) performing our favorite track off the new album, "Skin Tight," wearing nothing but a pair of black briefs. He sweats, the French boys scream, we swoon. After the jump, see Jake's hunky sailor-in-a-jockstrap shoot for BUTT from a couple years back.

June 20, 2010 at 8:57 AM Hey... so this new Scissor Sisters album, Night Work, might not be so bad after all! We're pretty sure that's not Jake Shears' ass in the pic, but that remains unconfirmed. [Thanks, Zach.]
